FRANK BANGAY
Right - Frank and Friends take the first steps designing the Recreation Ground and designing the Memorial Pavilion.

Frank Bangay was a Parish Council Chairman, Historian and ceaseless volunteer, very important to the development of Borough Green as we know it today.
Ian, his son, is drafting a history that will go with these pictures.

Frank found time to spare to chronicle some of Borough Green's History, and wrote two books:
​
"A Friendly Glimpse" about our Schools
​
& "Past & Present" a wide ranging history of the Village
​
Right - Frank installing the first bench on Tollage Green. Weather and time have attacked it over the years, but although there has been a new Bench since 2016, I am loathe to remove one of the last physical links too Frank.

Below. Whilst a new Sports Pavilion and pitches was a unanimous wish amongst the Parish Council in those days, Frank was the driver for the project. He is discussing how the new Halls will be used.

Right - In his "spare" time Frank was an amateur historian, but tightly focussed on Borough Green. Over many years he amassed a vast collection of pictures and documents, most of which are held in trust for us by his son Ian. He used to hold regular picture exhibitions in the Village Hall
