LOCAL GOVERMENT BOUNDARY COMMISSION REVIEW
The Boundary Commission for England asked TMBC to carry out a review of ward boundaries, because over time population changes mean that wards may have more or less than an equal amount of residents for each councillor.
TMBC carried out a secret consultation and propose to remove 10 Councillors, citing "cost savings". The loss of 10 councillors will make minimal savings and will not address the gaping chasm in TMBC Finances, which TMBC fear are getting close to Northamptonshire's problems. In a very short while development in TMBC will demand another costly and pointless review - still it keeps Civil Servants employed. TMBC deliberately denied parishes the opportunity to have their say before this disastrous plan was approved and submitted.
TMBC's shameful proposals won't have a huge impact on the internal running of the Parishes involved, but it will have a huge impact on representation on matters like Planning, Parking, Waste Collections where we will struggle to maintaining the level of involvement that Tim, Wendy and I currently invest in our Parishes.
